My OEM Dewalt charger is a DCB100 which these batteries are supposed to work on as indicated in the listing of charger units these batteries work in. So I'm thinking is it possible I hot two brand new replacement batteries and they are both bad.or did the first battery while charging corrupt my charger. So I then removed the first battery from the charger and put the 2nd new battery on its charging slot and instantly the red light was blinking rapidly indicating a problem. My charger was fully functional up until this charging time, so I know the unit was charging and performing correctly. Then all of a sudden it was like a military □ double quick step blinking faster than twice or three times of normal indicating something was wrong, indicating a faulty battery or charger. How long does a Dewalt 12V battery take to charge The batteries from 12V MAX 2Ah to 5Ah differ in charge times. The charger was blinking on/off red in the normal charging fashion for about 15-20 minutes, like a □ normal hearbeat. So I put the first one on my Dewalt DCB100 charger prior to first use.which by the way matches up with description of charging units these aftermarket batteries work on. ![]() Like many reviews, I ordered the batteries that were yellow and looked like original Dewalt batteries and got red and black ones.No biggie for me as long as the unit works. I ordered two of these based on all the great reviews. Love my gun once again and have had the battery for atleast a year. Guess I'll have to contact seller to try and remedy this FUBAR With this in mind the 12v xrp I believe costs more than the 18v xrp and as the current guns offer more gizmos and look cool after searching Ebay for what seemed like months I broke down and bought One 71 battery from Home Depot. Now I have to buy a new charger and out note money, and I'm stnot sure these two replacement batteries are or were any good from the beginning.andddd now I got a 12v drill and mini seawall I can't use. ![]() So now I have 3 batteries, one original, and two new replacement batteries I can use because I can't charge them, because my charger is somehow burned out. With original Dewalt batteries unit never got hot or even warm when charging. So my only guess is because the replacement battery is two times the Amp hour rating at 3.0 and that during the course of the charging the charger burned ours it was very warm. Replacement battery is DCB120, so they match u p. The DeWalt DCB124 is a 12v XR compact lithium-ion 3.0Ah battery pack that gives you a longer working life than its predecessors, which were lightweight and of. The replacement battery is a 3.0 ah battery, so twice the ah as original battery.Original Dewalt battery is DCB120. Next original Dewalt battery is 1.5 ah ( Amp hour). Next 60 Hz on charger nothing on batteries, but seems insignificant. capacity batteries run 30 longer between charges than standard batteries 20. It's stampings on the plastic undercarriage state that it's a Li-Ion charger like the new □ batteries are. In head-to-head comparisons, Porter-Cable's new 12 volt cordless drill put. My conclusion is that these new batteries somehow burned out my charger making it useless.So I took it one stem further. Immediately the battery blinked as the replabatterues I bought here on EBAY. ![]() Update on my below original review.So I used my Dewalt drill with my original Dewalt battery, drained it down and put it on the charger slot.
